Aztec Bookend
$2,000
A sculptural volcanic rock bookend with stepped carved details, designed to bring weight, rhythm, and texture to a shelf.
Each piece is hand-cut from porous volcanic rock and finished with a raw sealed surface. The form is architectural and compact, designed to hold books in place while acting as a sculptural object in its own right.
Available in two volcanic stones: pink tezontle and dark gray basalto. Both materials carry natural pores, mineral variation, chips, cracks, and surface openings that are part of the character of the rock.
Rather than being treated as flaws, these marks give each bookend a sense of age, weight, and presence — closer to an ancient relic than a machine-made object.

Material Note
This piece is hand-cut from porous volcanic rock. Small chips, cracks, open pores, irregular edges, tonal shifts, and surface markings are expected and are part of the material’s character.
These variations are central to the design. If you prefer a perfectly smooth, uniform, or flawless surface, this may not be the right piece for you.
Returns or exchanges will not be accepted for natural stone variation, chips, cracks, pores, tonal shifts, or surface irregularities that are consistent with the material and hand-finished process.
Care
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, prolonged moisture, and direct impact. Natural stone may continue to develop subtle surface character over time.
